TECO

I wore this outfit to work last week. This is one of those dresses I knew I had to have the moment I saw it. I love the print, colors, and pleats! You can pair pretty much any color with this dress, but for some reason, I usually go with some variation of purple:)

Dress: Anthropologie Southward Stop Dress
Cardigan: J. Crew Jackie (I told you, I'm well on my way to having every color of this classic cardigan)
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Dansko

This is how I wore the dress a few months ago for my Birthday (The purple tights and bare arms are a bit much for my office, so this is a non-work outfit option for me):

Dress: Anthropologie Southward Stop Dress
Belt: Anthropologie Snakebite
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Chie Mihara Teco

These were the first pair of Chie Mihara shoes I purchased. I found them on sale at Ped shoes (here is the product information, although they are now sold out). Aren't they beautiful?!?!

If you haven't already, you must check out the new Chie Mihara spring/summer 2011 collection. Here are a few of my favorites:

The IONA:

The LOVELY:

The AVAGAR:

Now, I'm off to dream about shoes and go out to dinner with my sweetie! Happy Valentine's Day:)

  2. That is a popular dress, I can see why! I looks very pretty on you! :)

And purple is clearly your color.

Wait until you see the T-Strap heels by Boden that I will be showing off fairly soon...they are purple, too, and look very similar to the t-straps you have on.

    Enjoy your night!

  13. Love the attitude in that pose!

I almost wore the southward out for valentine's dinner too! It's such a nice soft whimsical print.

  14. Cindi - Thanks! Purple does work well, but I'm going to try to challenge myself to go with something different next time!

Dina - Thank you! Oh, I can't wait to see the Boden heels!!!

Loraine - Oh, yes! I love the gold teco's! I hope they go on sale soon. Let me know if you end up getting them:)

Gabby - Thanks! I will give credit for my new "model" poses to my BF. He has been taking my pictures and he has really gotten into it recently. Sometimes I get really frustrated because he says things like "twist your spine" or "you need to have fluid movement". I have no clue what he is talking about, but we occasionally get lucky with a decent photo:)

Minnesota Maven - Yes, the whole collection is nice. I like to go back and look at the shoes over and over and dream of having them all:) The Jackie's are wonderful!!!!

JG - Thank you! I'm drooling over the Chie's too:)

Betty Ray - Thanks:) Yes, the Lovely shoes are so pretty! Aren't the polka dots just great?

Lisa (RTS) - I totally agree! Love the polka dots!

Lisa - Thanks, girl! I hear you about the Lovely shoes. They are so cute! I'm curious to see if any US retailers are going to sell them. I have wondered if there was a story behind your profile pic:) No, it doesn't creep me out at all, but if you are thinking you want to change it, I say go for it!

Jacquelyn - Me too! Oh, I like the Ginkana. I didn't see that style on the "collection" page of the website, but I see it in the online shop. Weird. Now, I'm going to have to look through the shop to see what else I missed!

    Jess - Thank you!

Thatdamngreendress - Thanks! You should hear my BF saying, "get some fluidity in the pose" or "twist your spine"! He is starting to drive me crazy, but it does make for more interesting pictures! I feel the same way about Chie's - love, love, love!

  15. I'm so jealous that you got that dress. That was one of the ones I missed. :( I've been checking for it on eBay and such but I can never seem to find the larger sizes (I'm a 12). I haven't given up hope yet, maybe one day!

  16. Clara - Don't give up! It's out there somewhere! You should post in the Effortless Anthropologie trade market.

  18. So I know this is an older post. My friend Heidi and I googled Chie' Iona's and were having fits over the ones with Pink trim when I realized they were on your blog. Had to tell you that. So shoes are TDF. She is a genius with shoes.
