I've had a very lazy Sunday. Most of the day has been spent at home, getting laundry done, taking the dogs on walks, camera shopping (online), and lounging around. I have also been playing around on Pinterest. I first heard about it from Carrie of My Inner Fashionista (here is her post). This is the description from their website: "Think of it as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can post collections of things you love, and "follow" collections created by people with great taste". It's really cool (and addictive)! I have discovered some beautiful/inspirational/interesting things (like this project, which I am hoping to try: Swatch Portraits). You can click on the pinterest tag on my sidebar to see my boards.
I wore this outfit earlier in the week. I am really loving the Hellebore sweater skirt. I first wore it with blue/purple here. While I love it with those colors, I think pairing it with black makes it more work appropriate (at my office at least), and I was excited to wear the J. Crew zip up cardigan that I picked up at the clearance center!
Now, I'm off to a restorative yoga class to complete my lazy day:)
Outfit details:
Cami: Banana Republic
Cardigan: J. Crew
Skirt: Anthropologie Hellebore Sweater Skirt
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Indigo by Clarks Jungle Java Pump
(I unfortunately had to switch into my Dansko clogs for work because of my foot injury, but once it's healed, I will be wearing these shoes all of the time! They are extremely comfortable.)
I LOVE the Hellebore Skirt with the Black Cardigan! And those Chie's from your other outfit...so pretty.
ReplyDeleteNice using the rule of thirds! :)
ReplyDeleteLoraine - Thank you! Those Chie's are my most favorite pair of shoes! Love your profile pic!
ReplyDeleteCindi - Thanks:)
I ADORE that skirt!! And you're so motivated; yoga class on Sunday? Girl, you are dedicated. RESPECT.
ReplyDeleteLisa - Thanks! The Hellebore is a great skirt. I've been really happy with it. Don't be too impressed, the class I went to was very gentle/mild. It did not require much physical effort at all:)
ReplyDeleteYou look so awesome Kristin! I loved the last time you wore this skirt, and it looks great with all these saturated black accents as well :) Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thank you Anjali! This really means a lot to me because I love and admire your style so much:)
ReplyDeleteAwesome look Kristin. I fell in love with this skirt when I saw it on a SA. I couldn't wait for the sale. I Went back the next day and I'm glad I did. Mine was the last one and I do not regret buying it at full price. I love they way you put it together. I've only worn one time. Bad right? You look really great!
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes! How are they comfort-wise? I've been looking for something similar, but I walk quite a bit on my daily commute so I want a pair that will be comfortable!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gabby! You should wear it again soon, before spring gets here:)
ReplyDeleteKelly - They are super comfortable. This is the only pair of Indigo by Clarks I have, but I've heard that all of their shoes are extremely comfortable. I can wear these all day long with no aches or pains.
You remind me that I have the same cardigan and I really need to wear it more often - but I never know what to pair it with as it's cold now and the arms are kind of tight for me!
ReplyDeleteI love love that sweater skirt on you! How is the fabric wearing? I am in love with sweater skirts but I've never purchased any because I am afraid of the dreaded butt pilling! But I guess if I've never owned one, it could all just be in my head, haha!
Lisa - Thanks! So far, the fabric is holding up well. I have only worn it 3 times, but I haven't had any issues/problems at all:)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit. One of my favorites you've posted!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ms. Mindless!
ReplyDeleteOh I love how you styled this skirt! I saw it in the store and really liked it but it just did not work on me. It looks beautiful on you!
