Lazy Sunday
My Sunday started like this:
As for the rest of the day, I have done a lot of relaxing, internet browsing, and TV watching (Being Human). Here is what I wore, once I finally got up and showered:
Top: J. Crew
Jeans: Joe's via Anthropologie (Yes, the same one's from yesterday)
Belt: J. Crew
Socks: J. Crew
Shoes: Dansko
I have also started a new decorating/craft project! I first saw this on Pinterest and loved it! It originally came from The Purl Bee and that is where you can find all of the instructions, etc. for the swatch portraits. So far, I have picked up about 7 different fabrics, but I could only find 4 of the embroidery hoops. I may have to order more online. I am excited to get started and I will be sure to show you my finished product!

Your breakfast is mouth watering. And Sunday is the perfect day to be HUMAN, wear jeans, and troll the Internet. I recognize those Dansko shoes. My friend invested in 4 pairs in different colors. She's been reminding me weekly to try a pair. The Project with the embroidary hoops and fabric swatches is very interesting. I bet you could pick those hoops up cheap at thrift stores and the swatches could be cut from old clothing. You could do anything with this. The possible themes are endless.
ReplyDeleteWow! Yummers :) I ate Jimmy Johns Turkey Tom but that's because I stayed up late re doing my whole computer stuff!! Went to bed at 5AM.And didn't get up to a great breakfast like yours! Lucky you. I am being human too. But haven't even dressed decent for the Blog...LOL. Watching Total Recall and Listening to Chloe snore. Wonderful day though. I like your idea. I thought they were plates at first. Very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You & Your house look cute! love the color on your wall. Very soothing :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is one gorgeous breakfast. It puts my bowl of Reese's Puffs cereal to shame. I think I'm one episode behind in Being Human, so I need to catch up, too! Your craft project looks really cute, I hope you'll post pictures when you finish.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Being Human! Did you watch the original BBC series or the new American one on the SciFi channel? I've only seen two episodes of the American series but it is so far really fascinating. And yes, I am a big fan of The Vamp Diaries and True Blood too!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh, I lurrrrve blueberries, and your outfit is kinda like a shade of blueberries too! :)
ReplyDeleteHmm, I've never watched Being Human? Is it any good? What's it about?
Your breakfast looks amazing!I love the embroidery hoop wall decor, can't wait to see your version. I just discovered being human two weeks ago and I am hooked!
ReplyDeleteThat breakfast looks lovely!!! I love blueberry waffles!
ReplyDeleteLaura - I am wearing the Dansko's almost every day right now because of a foot injury (which is almost totally healed:). They are extremely comfortable and perfect for what I need right now (very sturdy/rigid, big enough for the inserts I have to use, etc.). That is so true - the possibilities are endless! I need to check goodwill/thrift stores for the hoops. Thanks for the suggestion!
ReplyDeleteGabby - I hope that all of your computer stuff worked out! What a late night! Thank you - we just re-painted our living room last year. The color is so much better than before. It used to be really dark.
Mich - Reese's puff cereal is my very favorite cereal! What's not to love about chocolate/peanut butter goodness for breakfast? We just discovered Being Human about a week ago, and we have already watched the first season (the British version). Yes, I will post pics of the project when I finish:)
Lisa (RTS) - We are watching the original BBC series. We also watched the first 2 episodes of the American one, but the original seems quite a bit better. I am a True Blood fan as well!
Lisa - True! Maybe my breakfast inspired my outfit? Being Human is quite good. It's another vampire/werewolf show, but it is done really well. It's funny, scary, and very interesting.
Minnesota Maven - Thanks! I am hoping to finish the wall decor project next weekend - I just need to find more hoops! We also just discovered Being Human and we have already made it through the first season!
Cindi - Thanks! They were delicious!
You and that breakfast are a lot alike: sweet, scrumpshus and refined.
