Two-Wheeler: Fall Edition

I decided to start my day off with a nice yoga class this morning.  I went with a friend and we decided to go to a yoga studio that we used to frequent, but we haven't visited in a while.  We showed up early and the doors were locked.  We thought maybe the instructor just wasn't there yet.  It was cold and rainy so went back to the car to wait.  We waited....and waited....and waited.  When it was time for the class to start, we went back to the door and upon further inspection, we realized that the whole place was shut down.  The building was completely empty.  Ugh!  So, no yoga for me today.  We went out for coffee instead:)

This is my outfit from yesterday.  I typically wear this dress in the spring/summer (see here and here), but I think it works for this time of year too.

Pumpkin

I am obsessed with pumpkin right now.  Obsessed.  I can't stop.

This is the best pumpkin beer I've had.

Homemade pumpkin granola, perfect with vanilla greek yogurt.  Recipe here.

Pumpkin +  goat cheese = heaven

Yes.

Homemade pumpkin waffles.  These were great!  I made a big batch and froze some of them to eat during the week for breakfast.  Spread a bit of almond butter on it and fold it over like a little waffle sandwich = perfect breakfast.  Recipe here.

Sandstorm

Happy Tuesday:)  How is your week going?  Mine is great, although this cold rain is hard to adjust to.  It is nice to be able to wear my fall/winter clothes though.

This is definitely a repeat outfit (the dress does well on it's own, not much you can really change).  I am wearing new accessories though and I want to show them off!  I purchased this darling (as in the brand darling, although I would say this scarf is quite darling) scarf from zulilly a few weeks ago and I'm finally getting around to wearing it (LOVE it!).  The necklace is also new.  I found it at adorn.  It's by Betsy & Iya, a local Portland company.

Liamolly

Happy Sunday!  Hope your weekend has been great.  I slept in this morning, babysat for a friend's little boy for a bit, made a trip to the grocery store, and just finished baking some very delicious smelling muffins and granola.  Ben said our house smells like Thanksgiving:)

Here is my outfit from today.  I am a big Liamolly fan.  I own the glassflower cardigan (below) and also the coin purse cardigan, both purchased via anthropologie.  They are both unique, wonderfully-made cardigans.  A few months back, Liamolly hosted a "grab box" sale.  They sold 3 random pieces (in the same size) for $75.  Sadly, I missed out on that sale and have regretted it since.  I happened to check facebook earlier today and saw an announcement on the Liamolly FB page that they found some extra grab boxes that are available for purchase.  They specified that it would contain 3 random sweaters (I think the promotion before also included other pieces, like leggings and skirts).  I can't wait to see what I get!  If you are interested, check it out here - looks like all sizes are currently available.

1st Wedding Anniersary

Ben and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary a few days ago.  It's hard to believe our wedding was an entire year ago (wedding posts here, here, and here).  What a beautiful, lovely, adventurous year it has been!  We kept things very simple for our anniversary - we spent the day together going out to brunch, and enjoying a nice, quiet day.  I made homemade chocolate cream pie and cake balls and Ben made homemade pizza for dinner.

This is my most favorite little bee.  I wore it a year ago on my wedding day and again on Sunday to celebrate our 1 year anniversary (from BHLDN).

Here is my anniversary OOTD.  I also wanted to show off my new coat (the Ruffled Trench Coat from Anthropologie).  I love this coat!  It is TTS and seems to be made very well.  It is heavy/cozy, without being bulky.  It works well fully zipped up and also open with just the belt tied (see below).  I highly recommend it.

When I decided to wear my bee pin that day, little did I know I would have a bee ring to add to my outfit as well.  This is my anniversary gift from Ben.  Isn't it wonderful?  Oh, how I love him!

Here are a couple of other shots from the day.  Wine, chocolate pie, and cake balls?  Yes, please!

Fall Wishlist

Fall is my favorite season.  It has started to feel like fall here in the PNW just in the past couple of weeks, although I think we are going to get a big dose of cold and rain starting tomorrow.  I'm so excited to be thinking about tights/corduroy/coats/layers/etc.!

Now that my commute includes more walking, waiting for the train, and just generally being outside more, I have to put more thought into outerwear.  Luckily, the realization that I needed a good, sturdy trench coat came at just the right time, when this beauty made it to sale:

It is on it's way to me now (way to go anthropologie, I love the new website and the super fast shipping!).  Hopefully it fits well and ends up being as great as all of the reviews claim.  Do any of you own this coat?  Love it?

Here are some items on my wishlist for this fall/winter:

I wish I could get every single color.  Right now, I have it narrowed down to these two, turquoise and purple.

Love this top, can't decide on the color.  I think gray would go with more of my closet, but maybe I need to branch out a little.

 Tights, tights, and more tights!

I've been on the lookout for a pair of ankle boots.  Here are a few that strike my fancy!

And, while I'm dreaming, these too:)

Slimy Moss

Things are finally settling down a bit after a very hectic week.  I LOVE my new job!  It is going very well so far.  Some parts of it are definitely going to take some getting used to, but overall it is interesting, challenging, and enjoyable.

We had company visiting from NC this past week/weekend.  Ben's best friend since childhood and his girlfriend came to hang out and check out Portland.  On Sunday, we spent the day at the coast.  We found a great little spot on the beach to hang out and watch the sunset.  While we were there, our friends got engaged!  It was a very beautiful and special day (and eventful - considering the engagement and the fact that Ben came very close to being swept away by a spout wave - he drives me insane by getting very close to the edge every time we are on a hike or near any sort of cliff.  I hope he learned his lesson).  We did a lot of laughing, eating, and shopping while they were here.  It was so much fun!

Here are some pictures from the past few days:
