Asters Everywhere!

I wore this outfit yesterday - I love wearing dresses on Mondays! I fell in love with this frock last winter and have enjoyed it all year long. One of my favorite things about it is that it has little three-dimensional flower applique's all over it. Pure prettiness! It came with a greenish sash, but it ended up sort of clashing with this cardigan, so I left the sash behind.

Dress: Anthropologie Asters Everywhere Dress
Cardigan: J. Crew (Jackie)
Cami: Banana republic
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Dansko

EDIT: Here are some close-up pictures of the flower appliques per JG's request!

Hellebore Round 2

I've had a very lazy Sunday. Most of the day has been spent at home, getting laundry done, taking the dogs on walks, camera shopping (online), and lounging around. I have also been playing around on Pinterest. I first heard about it from Carrie of My Inner Fashionista (here is her post). This is the description from their website: "Think of it as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can post collections of things you love, and "follow" collections created by people with great taste". It's really cool (and addictive)! I have discovered some beautiful/inspirational/interesting things (like this project, which I am hoping to try: Swatch Portraits). You can click on the pinterest tag on my sidebar to see my boards.

I wore this outfit earlier in the week. I am really loving the Hellebore sweater skirt. I first wore it with blue/purple here. While I love it with those colors, I think pairing it with black makes it more work appropriate (at my office at least), and I was excited to wear the J. Crew zip up cardigan that I picked up at the clearance center!

Now, I'm off to a restorative yoga class to complete my lazy day:)

Outfit details:
Cami: Banana Republic
Cardigan: J. Crew
Skirt: Anthropologie Hellebore Sweater Skirt
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Indigo by Clarks Jungle Java Pump
(I unfortunately had to switch into my Dansko clogs for work because of my foot injury, but once it's healed, I will be wearing these shoes all of the time! They are extremely comfortable.)

My Saturday

Happy Saturday! I woke up this morning and went with a friend to a gyrokinesis class. The class was quite fun and I'm feeling sore and open/flexible now (both good things). I have taken yoga for years, but had never even heard of gyrokinesis until last week. I've taken 2 classes total, and so far, I'm pretty impressed. Here is a brief overview.

After the class, I ran a few errands and also ended up in Anthropologie (of course). While I was in line to process a return, I spotted Kjrsten and Anna from Have a Cute Day! I was so excited to finally meet these beautiful, stylish women! I was especially excited to meet Kjrsten because she is going be taking my engagement/family (Ben and I and our 3 dogs) photos in a few months. I CANNOT WAIT!!!! Check out her beautiful pictures here.

This is what I wore today:
Top: Anthropologie
Jeans: Joe's jeans via Anthropologie
Shoes: Dansko

I love the details on the top!

Talus is doing really well and recovering from his surgery just fine. We are getting ready to snuggle up and enjoy homemade calzones for dinner. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

His breath was worse than his bite

Meet Talus! We adopted Talus from a humane society in NC about 7 years ago. He is the sweetest dog ever. He loves to snuggle, is super laid back, and gets along with everyone. Aside from his passion for running away (I'll save those stories for another day), he is pretty much perfect:)

Poor guy had to have surgery today to remove a broken tooth. We woke up early and took him to the vet. He was so excited to be there! He loves riding in the car and he thinks its so awesome to get to go to the vets office (I think he views it as doggy daycare or something - he gets to smell other animals and he gets lots of treats and attention).

The procedure took all day and I was so happy when it was time to pick him up! Here he is when we first got home. Soooooo groggy, but trying to stay awake as to not miss any action.

This is what I wore today. I love green and navy together!

Top: Anthropologie
Cardigan: J. Crew (Jackie, of course)
Skirt: Anthropologie
Tights: J. Crew
Shoes: Dansko

Lastly, this is the only item I picked up from the sale yesterday. These are the Joe's Ponte Skinny Visionaire pants. They are now on second cut for $39.95 (down from $138). They are no longer on the website for some reason, but all sizes are showing as available on my wishlist (web style #18619494, retail sku #18620518).

Boden love

I bought this skirt from Boden about 6 months ago and I LOVE it! It's the Autumn Printed skirt (not many colors/sizes left, unfortunately). I have worn it often and it has held up wonderfully. I wasn't sure about the fit as I was in between 2 sizes. I went with the larger size, and while I think it is a little bit loose, the smaller size would have probably been too small. I am really glad that I didn't order the long version because the regular is just right. The color is perfect - lavender really makes me happy right now:)

Here is my outfit from today (the skirt definitely shows some wrinkles after a long day, but that is to be expected, I think):

Cardigan: J. Crew (Jackie)
Cami: J. Crew
Necklace: Anthropologie
Skirt: Boden
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Dansko

Here is a close-up of the beautiful color/pattern:

If you haven't already, you should check out Dina's blog. She does a lot of Boden reviews and she even started a Boden 'buy and sell' post! Also, if you go to her blog and click on the Boden banner ad on the sidebar, you can get 15% off plus free shipping!

A couple of things I am loving from Boden right now - the Swishy Viscose Skirt (in Jade Abstract) and the Pleat Detail Wool Skirt (in Gray), which would be perfect for the office.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week!
