I've had my eye on the J. Crew Dorrie skirt for quite some time. I've seen a lot of ladies rocking the orange color around the blogosphere and I decided I should pull the trigger before the skirt sold out (now I see that the skirt has since gone on sale, and only a couple of sizes are left). I already have the Anthropologie Thousand Days skirt in burnt orange, so I went with the "Dragonfly Blue" color in the Dorrie. It is much darker IRL than it looks on the website (it's really more of a navy color). It's so cute though, I don't really care what color it is!

Kristen, I love your navy Dorrie, especially with your minty-love top and flaxen wedges. Great color combo! Wish they had made that Dorrie just an inch longer so I could have snagged it too. I'll just pine for one every time you wear it, k?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great skirt - i can just tell that it has loads of styling opportunities. Going for the navy colour was a good idea. And it has snack pockets too! win-win
ReplyDeleteI agree!! The skirt is cute! I'd pick the color too! Simple skirts are really useful!!
ReplyDeleteThe deets on that skirt are adorable! I love the buttons on the waistband!

Love this skirt on you! I've been loving it on other bloggers as well---glad you went for it! :)
ReplyDeleteGood find! It looks really versatile, but the top stitching makes it not so cookie-cutter.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely color for the Dorrie. I considered buying it but it had already sold out when it went on sale. I'm always hoping to find one in the store but know that's impossible. Love it with the yellow shoes.
ReplyDeleteComplex Cardigans
I can certainly relate. I was waiting for the orange version to go on sale too and only find it disappeared in my size :-(
ReplyDeleteLovely skirt. It looks so versatile and the yellow shoes are so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo, Kristin! I think the blue Dorrie will be so versatile! Your photos are always so pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! I really like this look! The colors that you used are beautiful together and I love a high-waist skirt! Great find on the skirt, too!
ReplyDeleteI love it with the mint! We're always drawn to the bright flashy colourways, but this navy is totally sweet and classic. I was hoping to snag the tan version but it never happened!
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is fabulous and I love it with the mint and mustard. It's a brilliant pairing that I would not have come up with.
ReplyDeleteI knew you were wearing the Flaxen Wedges before I read it. And the funny thing is, I couldn't see the entire shoe. How funny. I want those shoes badly. And I love your skirt Kristin. I stalk J Crew for Jackie's, but I don't look at much else. Besides this skirt, do you have any J Crew recommendations for me?
ReplyDeleteThe garden looks amazing, even in late Summer. Your hubby has at least two Green Thumbs. I love seeing all the flowers as back drop to your outfits.
such a cute skirt, i love how you've outfit it. now you've got me wanting it too, thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your shoes, has to be the best color! These photos are so pretty! I live in Oregon too! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I have a feeling I will be reaching for this skirt quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteLaura - I go to J. Crew for a lot of my basics (t-shirts, tanks, etc.). Their color selection is amazing and the quality is (usually) great. I also really love J. Crew corduroy pants/trousers for fall and winter. I have a few silk tops (for work) that I love. You should check out the J. Crew Aficionada blog sometime for info/reviews.
Savannah- Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. Yay for Oregonians:)
