Happy Wednesday! Did you all score anything good from the anthro sale yesterday? The only thing on my wishlist that made it to sale was the Tuileries dress. Unfortunately, by the time I logged in to order it, my size was sold out online. I called customer service and the lady I spoke with informed me that yes, there were "lots of stores" with "plenty" of my size in stock. Because of that, I decided to do a charge send. I should have known better. Of course, when I logged into my account today, I saw that my order had been canceled. I called customer service, and was told that the dress was totally sold out in my size. So, I spent my lunch break calling random stores. It seems that CS is correct this time, my size is sold out (of course I didn't call all of the stores, but the 15 or so I did call did not have my size). Luckily, I found one store that had the dress available in a size smaller than my normal size. I have never tried this dress on, so I have no idea if this size will work for me, but it is on its way! Fingers crossed that it works!
This is an outfit from last week. I picked up the Visionary skirt on 2nd cut a couple of weeks ago. I am really digging pleats right now and the print on this skirt is perfect for spring/summer. I also really like the colors - I lot of different colors/combos will work well with this skirt.

wow- these photos are amazing- you've really drawn out the brilliant colours beautifully. hee- I was going to wear a little mint and yellow tomorrow, but I don't have such beautifully complementary intensities as you've got here. darn that cardigan is cute...
ReplyDeleteOh, you should be in luck with the dress! My sister has always said it runs small, as she bought a size down and it was almost too big! I think you'll be fine. =) Lovely outfit, too. We bought the Abuzz cardi for our mom last summer!
ReplyDeleteUh, and by "runs small," I clearly meant "runs BIG." Why I shouldn't type at 7:30 AM.
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit. I keep seeing that skirt at anthro and keep passing it by. You look incredible in it, and I love the yellow + gray that you selected to bring everything together. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping your persistance has paid off. I hope the dress works out for you - i really do.
ReplyDeleteThese are really lovely photos. I love your yellow cardigan so much. I have cardis, but am missing a yellow one. Yours is perfect with that floral detail.
I think I read a few reviews where people sized down on the dress, so I think it should fit you just fine. *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is lovely... love it with the yellow.
Love this skirt with the bright pop on top. I'm crossing my fingers that your dress fits like a dream upon arrival. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, the Tuileries dress-- so lovely! Hope it works out for you.
ReplyDeleteI bought 2 different Tuileries online because I'm afraid my orders will get cancelled! I hate when that happens. I had a petite size and a regular size, and both orders STILL say "in process" even though I ordered them on Tuesday. I have a bad feeling they'll get cancelled. I'm glad you found one, I love the dress!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are fabulous... LOVE this outfit on you!
Oh, this is perfect. Pleats and a print? Be still my beating heart. And with the yellow cardigan? Oh, Kristin, you killed it with this one.
ReplyDeleteOoo that yellow cardigan is so pretty on you!
ReplyDeleteI hope the dress works for you, it's a beauty.
It's hard to buy without trying it on first, that's why I love the reviews so much (they're so helpful).
Can't wait to see you wearing the Tuileries dress!
You look fantastic in Yellow. Every time Anthro releases anything in yellow I'm drawn to try it, however, it really doesn't suit my already golden yellow complexion. Glad to see it look so wonderful on you tho.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Tuileries dress once it arrives! I was hoping to pick it up on sale, but I didn't have the funds this week. I know it will be long gone by the time pay day rolls around :(
ReplyDeleteI love the Abuzz cardi on you! The first thing I thought of was how the cardi will also go with your new maxi skirt. Just pair with a longer tee underneath. I really hope the Tuileries Dress works out for you, Kristen. :)
ReplyDelete*Kristin (sorry)
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful colors! Love the yellow abuzz cardi :)
ReplyDeleteYou didn't mention your cardigan, which is my favorite part of this outfit. I love it! The color is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh man... the print is lovely, but like Hannah, my fave part of the outfit is your cardigan! I love the little details by the buttons!

You look great! That skirt looks great with that fabulous sweater! I have everything crossed for you that the dress works out! It is a beautiful piece.
ReplyDeletelove it! i wanted that skirt but they didn't have my size! so cute!
ReplyDeleteI hope the Tuileries Dress works out for you! None of the sale items were calling my name this week, but I'm glad that so many other ladies got to snap up things they loved!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is really lovely on you. I wanted it to work on me, but it just...didn't. Hate when that happens!
I saw this skirt the last time I was in an anthro and really liked it... seeing on you makes me wish I'd bought it! Very cute outfit.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you find that the Tuileries dress in that other size works for you. It is so frustrating to miss out on something you really want. I was hoping to find one locally but no such luck. Now it's too late!
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is so pretty. I love how the cardigan brings out the jewel tone of the colors.
I adore the pleats and the colors and fingers crossed for the Tuileries dress. it's a darling spring and summer dress.
ReplyDeletebtw, which pooch is that in the 1st shot?
Thanks so much ladies! I'm still waiting on my Tuileries dress to arrive. It should get here tomorrow. Fingers crossed! This cardigan is one of my favorites. Of course, as soon as it came out and I spied the lovely crocheted bees, I knew I had to have it. It doesn't get a whole lot of wear because I feel like it may be a little much (Bright color mixed with a busy neckline). However, I really like the way this outfit turned out, so I think I will attempt to wear it more.
ReplyDeleteKatie - I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for passing on the sizing info:)
Carly - Any luck with your dress(es) shipping??? I am hoping at least one of them makes it to you!
Loraine - You are a genius. That is a great idea! Thank you! What color tee do you think I should wear?
Lisa - That is Talus. He loves to lay there or on the porch and watch all of the neighborhood happenings:)
Great yellow sweater!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Tuileries Dress! I had thought about grabbing that one on sale too - but sold out in my size as well. I purchased the DeShelley dress when it hit the sale a size too small because I just loved the dress and I am happy to say it does work for me. It is a tad snug when I first zip it up but I have found dress sizes to be less "set in stone". Best of luck!
