Muddy hike

Last Sunday, I went on a hike with Ben and one of our friends. We hiked the Cascade Head trail in the Nature Conservancy (which is on the coast of Oregon). It was an absolutely beautiful hike. As you can see, it was quite muddy, but it was worth it!

My favorite shot of the day. This makes me so happy:)

Even though I ended up falling on my ass trying to hike through the mud (seriously!), I had a wonderful time. The fog rolling in and out made everything so ethereal.

  2. Wow! These photos are gorgeous! I love the last one especially. I have yet to go on a long hike this summer.. I've got to do it soon or else before long snow will be on the ground!

  3. That looks beautiful! Oh my BF totally would not have gone - he refuses to hike when it is too hot, too wet, too dry, etc. I think he's acting out from "forced" summer hiking last year!

  14. How beautiful! I can't wait to visit that lovely State. When you go hiking, are you afraid of coming across a bear or mountain lion?

  17. Sid - Thank you! Yes, it was a really great day:)

    Laura - Thanks:)

Elle - Thank you! Yes, it usually is, definitely in this case.

Kimmie- Thanks! No, not usually. I don't typically hike in super secluded areas and a lot of the time I have a dog or two with me. I feel like most wild animals are more scared of us (especially with crazy dogs in tow) and would just run away. I did get a little nervous once when an animal (possible a mountain lion, possibly a baby deer) jumped over the trial and one of my dogs chased it. I was mostly nervous about my dog getting hurt, but I called for her and she quickly came running back to me.

Lisa - Thank you! My dogs love hiking:)

Sweet Laundry - It is magical:)
