Lace Cottage
Hello lovely ladies! How is your weekend going? So far, mine has been great. My day included sleeping in, a street fair, ice cream, and a beautiful sunset:) I went with a friend to the Mississippi street fair this afternoon. It was hot and crowded, but we had lots of fun! I got some of my favorite caramel corn and also got to visit the botanical bird booth. As I've mentioned before, botanical bird is one of my most favorite etsy shops. I was so happy to meet Cyd, the owner, today and see all of her beautiful pieces IRL. I will show off my new jewelry soon:)
This outfit is actually from last weekend. Unfortunately, I was sick for pretty much all of the holiday weekend, but I did manage to get up and get dressed on the 4th. We went out to lunch and then to a BBQ later that night.

I finally decided that the technology in my life needed to be updated, and I purchased my very first (crazy, right?) iphone. I LOVE IT!!! It is so much better than my 3 year old blackberry:) What are the best apps? I would love to hear your favorites!

Lovin' the lace skirt! Congrats on the iPhone! I've always been someone with a free, internet-less phone, but I'm debating finally taking the plunge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elena! You should go for it:)
ReplyDeleteI'm still in the year 2009 with my Blackberry! :D I don't know any helpful apps but an addicting game that I've been playing on my fiance's iPhone is Mr. Ninja.
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty skirt, i love your photos. ok, so that makes one more person ahead of me in the technology world. i still have a non-smartphone phone, and i don't text, so there. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having a wonderful weekend, and I love that J.Crew lace skirt!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new iPhone. I have a Droid, but sometimes wish I would have gotten an iPhone instead!
I have both that bag and that t-shirt. Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend. Love the shoes, like always.
ReplyDeleteI love the belt with the lace skirt- so pretty. I will be getting my first I-Phone when the new ones come out this September. My husband and daughter love the apps Angry Bird and Words With Friends. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteohhh, what a lovely skirt! I can't wait to see the jewelry you bought...that store looks lovely but it's so hard for me to get a sense for jewelry without seeing it on someone...hint hint! :)
ReplyDeleteKristin, so sorry to hear you were sick over the 4th. I love these hues of muted gray and seafoam together. So pretty! Especially with the Tea Rose belt. You don't look sick at all.... more lovely than anything! That street fair sounded like so much fun. Congrats on the iphone. We are Sprint users, so no iphones for me either. I barely got internet capacity on my new sprint phone. I'm such a dinosaur!
ReplyDeleteAwwe, you look so pretty Kristin. I love your belt, and those colours together are just perfect. I hope you are feeling lots better now!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new cell phone. I do not own an iPhone but I've heard wonders about Instagram :). I'm sorry to hear you were sick, if it is any consolation you looked wonderful. I love the combination of the skirt with that tee.
ReplyDeleteYay for getting an iphone!! my pick for apps? Scramble, Flickfooty, angry birds, jirbo..well..games mostly :-)
ReplyDeleteI Loove that skirt! I am also Loving the color of your top! You look great! I just recently purchased the iphone 4 about a month ago and I LOVE it!! I think the best app is instagram. You can play around with your photos and it is a free app.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! That belt is super cute!!! :) I wish I had an Iphone... I have an Ipod touch that I tote around everywhere and use more than I do my phone. Like Emma, I love Instagram. But I'm super duper obsessed with Words With Friends!

I really like your outfit. The neutral mixed with the mint green is spot on! I also like the lace skirt. I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. It's difficult to want to do anything when under the weather. I hope you enjoyed yourself at the fair and I can't wait to see what you've purchased!
ReplyDeleteoh, that t-shirt is such a perfect shade, and such a subtle contrast with the grey lace!
ReplyDeleteI have a semi-smart phone only- I'm a little intimidated at the potential costs/addictiveness of an iphone!
Such cool pictures. I love the one w/ the reflection in the shop window! I love that belt - it really accents the outfit in such a neat way.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't believe I missed the Mississippi Street Fair. I found it by accident one year after pole dancing class and have never been able to figure out when it is since then. I'll be up there next Saturday though for the Mississippi Flea Market though - should be fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite app is instagram! It makes taking really cool photos so simple!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much ladies!!!!
ReplyDeleteJG - I will definitely show off my new jewelry soon:)
Molly - I was also a sprint user for over 10 years. I just decided that I had to have an iphone, and I made the switch. It's too bad because I was very happy with sprints service.
Gracey - The Mississippi Flea Market sounds interesting. I will check it out. Hope you have a great time!
So far I haven't stepped into J Crew online any further than Cardigans. I ordered your Dobby Dress Kristin. It was too big and just didn't look right on me. So now I'm a big chicken to order anything but what I know. The JC. Your T Shirt is the perfect color match to your tattos. so soft and pretty. I just love your art work. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy must have iPhone Apps.
Etsy Addict of course. I know you can appreciate that one. it does cost $1. What is a dollar to have your favorite Etsy shop at your finger tips. Right?
The Find for searching out Chie Mihara.
Amazon, eBay, Shop Style and Sephora.
I also use Facebook, PS Express, and you will need a Currency Exchange App.
I love Shutterfly for iPhone. That is where my Virtual Closet was born.
For shoes there is Zappos.
I also love Bump for exchanging data with other iPhone users you just bump your hands while holding the phone.
I also find Pocket Rhymer and Dictionary useful.
I'm not much into games. But there is Google Reader for your favorite blogs on the go. But I haven't figured out how to use it for commenting. So I haven't had much need for it so far. Maybe you can explore and figure that one out.
I'm holding out with my 3G for an iPhone 4 as soon as I can drop ATT and join Verizon's 4G net work.
