Last Sunday, I went on a hike with Ben and one of our friends. We hiked the Cascade Head trail in
the Nature Conservancy (which is on the coast of Oregon). It was an absolutely beautiful hike. As you can see, it was quite muddy, but it was worth it!
My favorite shot of the day. This makes me so happy:)
Even though I ended up falling on my ass trying to hike through the mud (seriously!), I had a wonderful time. The fog rolling in and out made everything so ethereal.
oh i love hiking, the shots are beautiful, thanks for sharing and the first pic made me LOL. glad u enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteWow! These photos are gorgeous! I love the last one especially. I have yet to go on a long hike this summer.. I've got to do it soon or else before long snow will be on the ground!
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful! Oh my BF totally would not have gone - he refuses to hike when it is too hot, too wet, too dry, etc. I think he's acting out from "forced" summer hiking last year!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! You have to have that last photo framed!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these pictures - they are amazing. I love the field of foxglove. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJ'aime - Thanks! It was a gorgeous hike. I ended up covered in mud, but it was worth it!
ReplyDeleteCarly - Thank you:) I always feel so great after spending time in the woods.
Lisa - Thanks! Haha! It's hard to get started when the conditions are not great, but it's (almost) always worth it in the end.
Loraine - Yes! Great idea!
Gracey - Thank you:)
Gorgeous! I remember rain...and the color green...sigh.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are seriously incredible. Your favorite shot of the day looks so dreamlike and fantastic.

ReplyDeleteTrophyboutique - Thanks! Yes, I am so thankful for the cool, cloudy days right now, hearing about the crazy heatwaves in other parts of the US.
ReplyDeleteJess - Thank you:)
Fabulous pics Kristin! I love the mossy greenery and the thistle & bumblebee shots, looks like a completely lovely day!
ReplyDeleteWow! These shots look amazing! Your favorite photo is my favorite too! It looks like it came right out of a fantasy movie!

Those pictures are beautiful! I agree definitely worth the mud. :)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I can't wait to visit that lovely State. When you go hiking, are you afraid of coming across a bear or mountain lion?
ReplyDeleteGorge pics! I love to hike too, and I drag my pooches along when I can.
ReplyDeleteYour fav shot is so beautiful it gives me goosebumps!
Oh my gosh, I want to go to this place! It looks magical!!
ReplyDeleteSid - Thank you! Yes, it was a really great day:)
ReplyDeleteLaura - Thanks:)
Elle - Thank you! Yes, it usually is, definitely in this case.
Kimmie- Thanks! No, not usually. I don't typically hike in super secluded areas and a lot of the time I have a dog or two with me. I feel like most wild animals are more scared of us (especially with crazy dogs in tow) and would just run away. I did get a little nervous once when an animal (possible a mountain lion, possibly a baby deer) jumped over the trial and one of my dogs chased it. I was mostly nervous about my dog getting hurt, but I called for her and she quickly came running back to me.
Lisa - Thank you! My dogs love hiking:)
Sweet Laundry - It is magical:)
I just love your photos! What an amazing hike :)
